How do I, a merchant benefit from becoming a member of i-parley?

Is there a membership fee?
No, membership is free to all consumers.
In regard to merchants basic membership, which is sufficient to conduct transactions is free. I-parley intends to enhance the features and offer premium services on a chargeable basis to merchants in the future.
Do I have to be a member to review the deals?
No, a membership is not required to review the deals or navigate the site. However to transact and enjoy the benefits i-parley has on offer, one has to sign-up and become a member.
What is the sign up process?
Member registration or sign-up is a quick 2 step process, and one can use their existing google or Facebook logins to become members. Profile set up is easy and we seek only essential information and your current and future purchase intent.
Do I have to, as a consumer member reveal my identity to all?
Are merchant members required to fully disclose their identity?
Yes, merchants have to disclose their identity fully.
What are your privacy norms?
What is ‘Commitment Advance’, and its purpose?
All deals have an ending date and in the interest of fairness to all parties associated with the deal, a commitment to purchase at some point in the lifetime of the deal is necessary. The merchant needs to know the volume of business to provide a firm price / terms, and the fellow consumer members of the group deal need to know the final count to be able to negotiate the best price and terms and hence the need to commit to a purchase. A Commitment Advance is a kind of firm intent to purchase should the deal close successfully, and its payment thus becomes a contract to purchase upon successful deal closure.
Is the commitment advance fully adjustable against the purchase price?
It is 100 % adjustable against the purchase price upon successful deal closure. It is also 100% refundable upon withdrawal of a deal by a merchant or i-parley. If a consumer wishes to withdraw from a deal after committing to purchase, the amount may be forfeited fully or partially or a fee changed as outlined in the subsequent questions below.
When is the commitment advance payable?
Commitment advance is payable upon joining a group and must be paid atleast least 7 days in advance of the date of closure of the group deal.
Can a consumer withdraw after commitment i.e. after paying commitment advance? If so what is the criteria and the applicable fee, if any?
i-parley is a caring company and to ensure it is fair to all parties – withdrawals shall be permitted only in situations with sufficient cause such as a family emergency or a natural calamity. All withdrawals must be supported with necessary documentation and i-parley or its appointed third party administrator’s decision in the matter shall be final. An administrative fee may be charged and may be deducted from the commitment advance paid.
In case of withdrawal without sufficient and reasonable cause as stated above, the advance paid may be fully or partially forfeited.
Can a merchant withdraw from a sponsored deal? If so on what is the criteria and applicable fee, if any?
Only a business exigency as is acceptable under the law can be a sufficient cause to withdraw from sponsored deal. All withdrawals must be supported with necessary documentation and i-parley or its appointed third party administrator’s decision in the matter shall be final. A fee is charged to compensate for administrative costs.
In case of withdrawal without sufficient cause, a fee shall be charged towards administrative costs and to compensate consumers for any loss if applicable. It shall be computed on a case to case basis based on actual cost to i-parley and loss to consumers, if any.
What happens to the commitment advance if a deal closes successfully?
The commitment advance is treated as advance payment against the purchase and fully adjustable (credited) against the final purchase price of the product or service purchased.
What happens to the commitment advance if a deal closes unsuccessfully?
If, a deal closes unsuccessfully i.e. without an acceptable offer or a withdrawal of offer or bid by the merchant, the commitment advance paid by consumers is fully refundable.
What happens in case of withdrawal of a merchant sponsored deal?
It may become necessary, due to business exigencies to withdraw from a sponsored deal, and in so far as there is legal, reasonable and sufficient cause to do so and the merchant submits all necessary documents to support the bid withdrawal the merchant shall be allowed to withdraw. If, as a result of such withdrawal the deal closes unsuccessfully i.e. without an acceptable alternative offer, the commitment advance paid by consumers is fully refundable.The merchant may be required to pay fee towards administrative costs.
What happens in case of withdrawal of a winning bid by the merchant?
It may become necessary, due to business exigencies to withdraw from a submitted bid, and in so far as there is legal, reasonable and sufficient cause to do so and the merchant submits all necessary documents to support the bid withdrawal the merchant shall be allowed to withdraw. If, as a result of such withdrawal the deal closes unsuccessfully i.e. without an acceptable alternative offer, the commitment advance paid by consumers is fully refundable. The merchant may be required to pay fee towards administrative costs.
What transactions can a consumer perform on the site?
A consumer member can only launch a deal or join a deal. A consumer cannot bid or sponsor a deal

A merchant member can only sponsor a deal or bid on a deal. A merchant cannot join or launch a deal.
Does i-parley also sponsor or launch a deal?
Yes, it may do so.
Can i-parley terminate or close a deal? If so what is the criteria?
Do you offer escrow services?
No, i-parley does not offer escrow services at this time. It however intends to so in the future.
Do you conduct credit checks on consumers and merchants?
i-parley does not conduct credit checks leaving it to the merchants to do so at the time of deal closure. In case of credit checks of merchant members i-parley encourages its consumer members to review publicly available information on the merchant. However all members may be able to review the performance of members, both merchants and consumers, in the future whenever such a feature becomes available on i-parley.
How do you authenticate a merchant sponsored deal or bid?
i-parley does not stop a deal from being sponsored by a merchant but it reviews deals to ensure they represent real intent to sell, has a definite and binding offer and refers to an existing or upcoming real estate project, a product or service.
In case of bids, i-parley reviews the bids and works with the merchant to ensure they submit a legally binding bid and are committed to the terms of their offer.
How are deals launched by consumers authenticated?
i-parley does not stop a deal from being launched by a consumer member but it reviews deals to ensure they represent real intent to purchase and refer to an existing or upcoming real estate project, a product or service.
How do you ensure the information, statements, bids or contracts executed by merchants are correct and the merchants fully liable for such statements, information, bids or contracts?

Do you guarantee the products or services, along with the related information offered by the merchants? Is i-parley liable?
